The in between moments will always be my favorite moments to capture. There will always be posed photos... but the little candid bits in between are what makes for the best photos and memories. They are real, raw, and filled with emotion. I'd choose those moments any day of the week.

First post of 2024 whoop whoop!!

I've been taking a much needed week off to recover from a SUPER busy 2023 so thank you guys for being patient with me on inquiries and messages. I can genuinely say I overbooked myself this past year and I will not be doing that again... yikes. BUT I can also say that I am immensely grateful to each and every person who trusted me with photos and videos in 2023.

I got to work with some incredible businesses, be part of the sweetest weddings, travel to the coolest places, and take pics of the most wonderful humans. I wouldn't trade this job for anything, so thank you for supporting this little business that I have worked so hard for!

Going forward, 2024 for me is all about using creativity in new ways, taking clients who align with my work, using my new studio (I can't wait for you guys to see it), and prioritizing a work life balance. I also promise to actually post my work from now on... whoops.

I can't wait for all of the fun projects I have coming up this year! 2024 will be the best one yet. 🫶🏼

Hey friends!!

I just wanted to take a minute to say hello to any one new here and introduce myself! I'm Lauren - the girl behind the camera.

I have been doing photography and videography for the last 6 years. I got my start at South Alabama as a student and then was hired on as the Director of Video Productions for the South Alabama Football team.

I quickly realized that a mainstream salary job was not my cup of tea. I needed more creative freedom so I decided to take a step away and focus on my business.

So here we are today! Now a days I run my business full time. I do my own booking, shooting, editing, and book keeping. It gets hectic but I couldn't be more grateful. I do wedding videography first and foremost. As for photography, I take only a few weddings a year. Only ones that align with me and my creativity. I also do milestone and event photography - families, couples, seniors, maternity, etc.

I am engaged to @rileycole44 who is an actual stud of a dude. We have been engaged for way too long but we will get married one day I swear lol. We have two kitties and will be adding a pupper soon. I am based in North Alabama but would love to travel for you 🫶🏼

We would go out for 10 minutes to shoot before we had to go back to the car and warm up because it was COLD and the wind... man oh man the wind. It made for stunning photos but a very cold bride and photographer 😂

A special thanks to my angel of a fiancé for being the best assistant as I threw camera gear at him all day and sent him chasing a flying veil across the salt flats.

I'm so thankful my job allows me opportunities like this and I'm even more thankful for incredible friends and clients who trust me with these once in a lifetime moments.

You don't have to go out of state for a destination wedding. This was at DeSoto State Park and it was STUNNING. I loved being a part of this sweet day and God was definitely looking out for these two when he made the rain go RIGHT around us. What a day!!

Whenever I'm feeling a bit burnt out or in a lull with my photography, I grab my little sister and set up a fun shoot. One that's just for me. To get the creative juices flowing and to get creative with new edits.

It's so easy to get complacent and just do the same thing over and over again so sometimes it's fun to change it up, practice, try new things, and have fun with photography again. Sometimes it's not about getting paid but about using your talent for art. It's helped my confidence as a photographer x10000.
